Hi! My name is Spudz and I'm very misunderstood. From the time I was a puppy I lived with a family, until one day they could no longer keep me. Fortunately they brought me to Almost Home where I am very well taken care of, but the confusion of being abandoned by my family along with the stress and noise of living in a kennel makes me do things I normally wouldn't do. For example, I sound like I have a mean bark when new people visit me in the shelter, but in reality I am a very sweet, affectionate guy who loves to give kisses and make people laugh. (Yes, I can be quite a clown at times.) And I can be quite the snuggler if you're looking for someone to hug. One of the workers here at the shelter has been nice enough to bring me to his house at night where I get to play with his four dogs and go for long walks. One of my absolute favorite things to do is play fetch, because I can outrun all the other dogs. I run as fast as I can to grab the ball first and then run really fast to bring it right back. So fun! I am also proud to say I am a very good student and am learning a bunch of new tricks and commands. Whenever someone calls my name, I come running. I am completely house trained and have never gone potty in the house, even on really long days. People pass me by at the shelter because they think I look a little different, but once you get to know me, I'm sure you'll agree that I am absolutely adorable. I really like my toys and sometimes I play a little rough, so I would do best in a home without small children. If you'd like to meet me, please fill out the online application.
