My story

This little doll baby is Rommel. He is now about 5-6 months and is teeny tiny. Rommel is going to be one of those adorable littel pocket pit bulls. We will be surprised if he gets to 45 lbs full grown. He looks now like a 3 month old pup and is half the size of all the dogs his same age.

Rommel is all compact solid muscle and is a big surprise when you pick him up. He looks and is so little, but he is rock solid and quite a hefty little dude.

Rommel was found stray and very lucky to have made it safely into our program. He would not have survived on the streets and is lucky to have not been hit or wound up in the wrong hands.

So far this little sweetie is doing great, he's fostered in a big home with lots of other dogs and plays well with everyone. He absolutely does not like cats though. He is still a little bit cautious when meeting new people, but is so eager to be loved and to cuddle with everyone he will not take long before he's feeling totally secure and safe in any environment. Because of his shyness he will need a home without small children. Teenages 13 and older only.

We are guessing that in addition to being dumped on the streets this little boy was sadly not treated too well in his previous home. He is a bit scared in new situations, he doesn't hide or cower, but watches everything closely to be sure it's ok. If he has a nice safe lap to be in though he does so much better. With his tiny stature it must have been that much harder to go through the scary things he's been through homeless on the streets so it's not too surprising that he needs to learn to trust, but in the right home with love, patience and kindness he is going to be one of the best dogs we've ever seen.

Rommel needs a kind and understanding home where he will be a real member of the family abnd cherished by his famiy. He would fit nicely in just about any home and with his small size would even do great in a an condo or townhouse style home. He will need training and exercise as do all dogs and a breed savvy owner that's done their research, but will be one truly great dog!
