My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miette (pronounced 'Mee-Yeht') is a 4 year old spayed female Cornish Rex. She is very sweet, very active, and very vocal. She is litter box trained and up-to-date on shots. She is declawed, so we ask she goes to a home that will keep her indoors 24/7. We don't know how she'll react to dogs, but she doesn't seem to like other cats. She doesn't like to be picked up though, so if there are children in the house we ask they be at least 8 years old. She is very dark colored-between dark brown and black. Her coat is wavy as Rexes are known for and very soft, like velvet. For more info about this breed, please click HERE. The previous owner asks that Miette and her companion, Reux, find a home together, but it's not required. Reux is a 12 year old neutered male Cornish Rex who is also listed on this site. Their adoption fee is discounted if both of these cats find the same home. That would be $125 for Miette, $75 for Reux, or $150 for both.

If Miette and Reux are adopted together, the adoptee will get their water fountain, beds, carriers, and any other accessories the previous owner gave us. Also included is an electric heated bed and scratching post/cat condo.

Please see photos and call or email for more information (if you email us please expect a delay in getting back to you). Miette and Reux MUST be kept in-doors AT ALL TIMES.... or allowed outside supervised WITH a leash and harness on (also could have a cat-proof fenced yard). Adoption includes an application, house-visit, contract, and fee. We offer a reduced adoption fee if 2 cats are adopted by the same family. By signing our contract, adoptees agree to return their kitties to GHP if for any reason they can't be kept any longer. People within a 50 mile radius of Colorado Springs get adoption priority due to transportation restrictions unless I can find someone to do out-of-town adoptions (this is pending). NOTE: If you are interested in becoming a volunteer to do home visits in the Denver area please let me know ASAP! Miete and Reux would love to find a forever home.
