My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reux (pronounced 'Roo') is a 12 year old neutered male Cornish Rex. He takes a bit to warm up to people, but he loves attention and will ask for it. He's more laid back than his companion Miette and very vocal if he wants something. He is litter box trained and up-to-date on shots. He is declawed, so we ask he goes to a home that will keep him indoors 24/7. We don't know how he'll react to dogs, but he doesn't seem to like other male cats. He doesn't seem to mind being picked up, but we ask if there are children in the family that they be careful with this boy. He is grey in color. His coat is wavy as Rexes are known for and very soft, like velvet. For more info about this breed, please click HERE. The previous owner asks that Reux and his companion, Miette , find a home together, but it's not required. Miette is a 4 year old spayed female Cornish Rex. Their adoption fee is discounted if both of these cats find the same home. That would be $75 for Reux, $125 for Miette, or $150 for both.

If Miette and Reux are adopted together, the adoptee will get their water fountain, beds, carriers, and any other accessories the previous owner gave us. Also included is an electric heated bed and scratching post/cat condo.

Please see photos and call or email for more information (if you email us please expect a delay in getting back to you). Miette and Reux MUST be kept in-doors AT ALL TIMES.... or allowed outside supervised WITH a leash and harness on (also could have a cat-proof fenced yard). Adoption includes an application, house-visit, contract, and fee. We offer a reduced adoption fee if 2 cats are adopted by the same family. By signing our contract, adoptees agree to return their kitties to GHP if for any reason they can't be kept any longer. People within a 50 mile radius of Colorado Springs get adoption priority due to transportation restrictions unless I can find someone to do out-of-town adoptions (this is pending). NOTE: If you are interested in becoming a volunteer to do home visits in the Denver area please let me know ASAP! Miete and Reuxwould love to find a forever home.
