Elsie – what a wonderful dog wait til you hear!!!!!!!!!! She actually has a very sad story and now unfortunately she’s losing her foster home :( Can poor Elsie get the break she deserves – we think so and will not give up until this statuesque, lovely dog is home. Let’s start from the beginning…
Elsie was was saved from the high kill shelter in NYC. She’s about 5 years young with a heart of gold :) Elsie has been in a foster home waiting for her forever people very patiently. It seems now the people can no longer continue to foster her. Once again she will be without a home which is unfortunate for this gorgeous girl. Let me tell you a little about her so you can see for yourself why you should consider her for your next family member.
Elsie adores people of all ages :) She is fabulous with EVERYONE – little kids, adults, men, women, and other animals. She is super friendly with absolutely all who cross her path and craves to be pet and adores her belly rubs. She would be attached to your hip if you let her LOL and the contentment that shines in her face will show you just that. A good example is Elsie will lie on her back for those belly rubs for an hour if you just keep your hand on her tummy awwwww!! Such a clown this girl is lol. You can even pick her up and her tail will continue to just wag and wag – you can touch her everywhere and she just becomes like a powder puff in your hands :) Elsie is very food motivated so you would have to watch the treats so she can keep her svelte figure because she’s the type who will just keep eating (hey I’m like that myself so I get it LOL). She has absolutely NO food or toy aggression nor does she resource guard. Are you getting anxious to meet her now??? I think you would have to be!
Another plus! Elsie is quiet as a little mouse – she does not bark and will definitely greet all your friends and family with a smile and a lick. She’s great with most other dogs and her current foster brother dog uses her as a pillow =D She’s a strong girl and does tend to play minorly rough with other dogs but does not mean it of course and responds well to leadership and commands. She would most likely do best with a dog who is a bit submissive from what her foster mom has told us. I have to say this is one almost perfect family member who wants nothing more than to be with you. If you’re home a lot that would be ideal but she loves her crate too when she’s alone which is great because she may like to steal a slipper or two the little scamp :) Awwww she’s just a girl who likes to be kept occupied :)
