Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bella is a lovely little 15lb Chihuahua cross who is approximately 6 years old. She came into a rural shelter as a stray and was never claimed. She is a very loving little girl who has had some bad luck and now needs a forever home with a loving owner.
Bella has settled in well to her foster home and below are some comments from her foster mom:
Bella is great with cats – she is not aggressive with cats at all. We have 3 cats and one is a bit scared of her and runs a bit. Sometimes Bella will give a bit of chase but with the other two they simply ignore her all together and she ignores them.
She is very good with other dogs. No issues that I have seen. We have another dog and they really just ignore each other for the most part.
I would suggest not kids younger than the age of 10.
Bella is protective of treats and toys
She is housetrained but seems to have a high metabolism and needs to go out frequently
She can be crated although she is fine being left out – she is not a chewer
At night she is a real snuggle puppy and loves to snuggle in bed with her human. She is a great sleeper. She can also be crated at night if necessary
She loves going in the car and is quite relaxed
She loves going for walks but is a bit of a puller on leash
She barks when excited.
Bella is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed rescue. Her adoption fee is $375. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and heartworm tested as part of their adoption.
