My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginny Lee is between one and two years old. She weighs 15 pounds. She is house broken. She loves walks and riding in a car. She would do best as the only dog. We don't know how she would do with cats. She is very sweet. She is up to date on all her medical and is micro chipped. She had eye fold surgery to protect her eyes from the hair rubbing. Ginny Lee would make a great companion. !!! Her adoption fee is $350. Complete our on line application on our web site: www.potomacpekes.org We require a home visit and vet reference. UPDATE FROM GINNY'S FOSTER HOME: Ginny is an absolute doll. She is very affectionate and playful. Ginny has yet to meet a stranger – she loves everyone.

Ginny is house trained and does not need to be crated. When left alone for a few hours she just sleeps either on her dog bed or on the couch.
Ginny LOVES to go for long walks and really enjoys sniffing. Ginny walks beautifully on leash.
Ginny’s love for people does not spill over to other dogs. Ginny doesn’t like other dogs at all. We are working on her being able to pass other dogs while on a walk and not barking.
We now walk her using a harness instead of a collar and this really helps in keeping her at a heel position when other dogs are passing. I do believe with time and patience Ginny will be able to let other dogs pass her on walks, but I do not believe she will be able to live with another dog.
Ginny LOVES to play with her squeaky toys. She will fetch and bring them back and then likes to roll on them. Ginny needs a fenced in yard, but not an invisible fence. Ginny would also do well in a home with kids who are gentle.
