Wow what a gem!!!!!!!!!!!! Please meet Mikey!!! He's a one year old kid who is the sweetest guy going! Mikey weighs about 51lbs. and is totally housebroken and a kissing machine. You would never know that he was abandoned and locked in a yard and to make matters worse he was chained in with no food or water in 100 degree heat! The conditions were deplorable with no shelter from the elements period! Kind neighbors were feeding him and checking on him for weeks before rescuers were contacted. Shortly thereafter, he was freed from his chains and put in the safe and capable hands of his rescue angel Jen.
Mikey is so very friendly despite his clear isolation. He was afraid in the beginning and and didn't even know how to play - so sad. He was actually afraid of the toys but now his favorite past time is playing fetch! He is great with other dogs and he's currently being fostered with two other pitties you see in the photo. Mikey passed his behavior evaluation with flying colors and he shows no signs of aggression or guarding with anything. He's just a happy go lucky pup who was dealt a bad hand but is so forgiving, he doesn't look back. He's a fast learner, eager to please and has the most gorgeous eyes known to man LOL!
Mikey is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He is also crate/house trained and he loves to walk on the leash. He would do best in an active home as he does have a lot of energy. He's also strong so a good leader is essential!
