HI everyone! My name is Monty and I'm a loveable, love-bug Pit Bull searching for my perfect, fur-ever home! I don't ask for much- just affection and a lap to lay in...didn't you know Pit Bull is another word for lap dog?! You see, there's a reason I so badly want a family to call my own- let me tell you my story. It all started back in December when I was scheduled to be euthanized at the county pound for Mange. Luckily, M.A.I.N. stepped in to save me and I was adopted. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be the perfect fit for me and I was sent back to the shelter. I waited for two long months, but no one else came for me. I started to get real depressed and stopped eating; I was scheduled to be euthanized again. That's when M.A.I.N. stepped in to save me a second time! I'm currently living in a temporary foster home and I'm so grateful, but I just can't help but dream of my fur-ever home! Don't worry though- I'm a real happy guy and I'm learning there's lots of things I love in life! I ride great in the car, so it will be easy to take me on a trip. Maybe we can go on a hike together or even just a walk around the block?! Once we're back home, I would love to curl up next to you on the couch and relax. Or, if you have things to do, I'd be happy to follow you around and keep you company- I'm a great companion, if I do say so myself! There's just one thing- I'm not so sure I want to share your love with another dog! I don't mind polite, calm dogs who play nice with me, but I have to meet them first and decide if we can be friends. Don't worry, once you meet me I'm sure you'll realize I'm worth it! If you give me my fur-ever home, I promise to repay you with all my love and loyalty and tons of doggy kisses! I've been through a lot and I know there must be a reason- could it be that I just took the long road to YOU?! I am neutered, up to date on Bordetella, DHPP and Rabies AND come with my county license!
