UPdate 07/28/12: Hi!! Angel here. I'm 9 or 10 years young & I weigh about 6 lbs. I came from a puppy mill & it is much better here at my foster mom's house. I love all of the other doggies here especially my foster sister Suzie she is my best friend. She plays gentle with me & lets me nap with her. I'm a little girl so I need an all adult home. After years of neglect my lower jaw is very fragile & I need eye drops 4x a day because my eyes are dry. So I need a home where some one is home most of the time to take care of me. I love treats & napping. I don't like loud noises like fireworks or thunder. I get very scared. If you have lots of time to spend then maybe I am the one for you.
Update 04/22/12: Shelby here!! Not much new with me. Just living the good life with warm beds & lots of treats. I will turn 13 on May 1st. But I've still got a lot of love to give. I've had a little trouble with a few seizures lately, but the medication is working. I'm a sweet girl looking for a home with adults who are home most of the time. If you have grandkids I wouldn't mind that if they are kind to me & don't chase me . I like when they play with me. I will fetch the toy & toss it back to them. Well off to see if my Foster Mom will give me a treat. Talk to you soon!!
Update 03/11/12: Hi! everyone. Shelby here. Just an update. I'm doing well!! I was sick on Christmas Day & had to go to the ER Vet with pancreatitis, but I've been feeling good every since. I have a new foster sister Angel, she's in the picture with me. Aren't we a couple of pretty girls?? I'm just hanging out here at my foster mom's with all of the other furkids. I'm a pretty mellow girl. I like playing with a few toys & napping on the couch. I get along with other doggies & I like older kids if they don't chase me. I may be an older girl but I'm still a lot of fun!!
Update 12/11/11: Hi!! Shelby here! Just thought I would let everyone know how I'm doing. Everything at my FM is good. I get lots of love & treats. I'm a very active 12 yr old girl. I do love a good squeaky toy & a belly rub. I'm a quiet shy girl I do love the other little doggies here, but a human of my vey own would be nice too! I'm not afraid of children as long as they don't chase me. My ideal home would be one with adults & maybe another small quiet doggie like myself. Well I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!
Initial Bio 11/13/11: Shelby is a 12 year old, 6 lb sweetheart. She came to her foster home on 11-12-11. She is not the least bit shy or nervous in her new surroundings. She was an only dog in her former home but seems to be enjoying the company of her foster sister Suzie & two brothers Romeo & Teddie. Her former owner said she doesn't like being chased by young children but I think she would do well with older children. With a little encouragement she would be quite the cuddler if you are looking for a little lap dog. She is housetrained & will give you a look & do a few circles at the door to let you know she needs to go out. She is a very well behaved little girl and would make someone a wonderful companion. We haven't heard her bark yet but keep everyone updated as her little personality comes out as she gets used to us.
