Update May 14: Penny is returning to Barlee's through no fault of her own. She and her adoptive mom just havent clicked on a personal level. Her mom says there is absolutely nothing Penny could have done differently, and that she loves her, but she isnt feeling the deep connection that she should with a dog. We are looking to transition her back into foster care by the end of May, as her adoptive mom is traveling and unable to care for her any longer. She is a super sweet, loving, high energy dog who looks way smaller in person than any of her pics make her seem!
Update Aug 14th:Penny has arrived! She is a pint sized lady whose pictures make her appear much bigger. She is busy, busy, busy, but has a nice focus and is willing to please. She is learning house and crate training, but is picking it up fast. She is a fun dog that has been a lot of fun in foster care so far. I doubt she'll be with us long.
Penny is an owner surrender to a shelter we work with. Her past owner started a job that kept him out of the house for hours at a time. She is friendly, housebroken, has lived with another dog and possibly a cat too. She lived with a 9 year old child, and did well with him. As she is so new to the shelter, we dont even have a picture of her, but will update the listing as soon as we do.
