My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof! My name is Hollie and I am a very special spayed girl rescued from the North Central Animal Shelter. My original owners had me for 2 years but had to surrender me when they moved and their new landlord would not allow me. I am 3 years old, about 45 pounds, I'm housebroken, and I'm a very unique looking pit bull/ (possible) cattle dog mix with some Boston Terrier thrown in. I'm being fostered in Los Feliz and whenever my foster mom takes me out for a walk, people stop to look at me because I'm so interesting looking! Have you seen my ears? They're amazing! I also have a beautiful reddish spotted coat and sweet amber eyes. My favorite thing in the whole world? People! I LOVE all kinds of people. My foster parents had a party recently and I greeted everyone at the door with a smile. I'm such a happy, affectionate girl. I love wagging my tail and giving kisses. When my foster mom comes home from work, my favorite thing is to have her lean down so I can put my paws on her shoulders for a long, close hug. But my real favorite thing to do is to flop over onto my back, throw my head back, and have my soft belly scratched. I could lay like that for hours! Another great thing about me: I LOVE my crate! I sleep soundly in there through the whole night. You won't hear any whining or crying from me! I currently live in a house with 2 other dogs and 2 cats. I am fabulous with the other dogs, but only so-so with the cats, so a home with no cats would be ideal. I'm very playful so I would prefer to be in a home with other dogs who like to play as much as I do, or I'm happy being the only dog too since I don't have anxiety issues. Aren't I great? If you meet me, I know you'll fall in love with me! Can you give me a forever home? If you are interested in meeting me or adopting me, please email my rescue at carolee@labsandfriends.org for an application for me or any of my other dog friends - or you can also go to www.labsandfriends.org and download the application there as well. You can email the application in or fax it to 818-351-8148 no cover sheet needed.
