My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kelly is a sweet cat who was spayed and released with several others to an unfamiliar feral colony. She was clearly a domestic, social cat, so she was rescued by a good samaritan.

Kelly is a very gentle cat who doesn't mind being held. She's great with dogs, doesn't get along too well with other cats, don't know about kids.

Reason For relinquishment: Other cats pick on her so she is escaping from the yard. All cats protected from birds of prey as long as they stay in the backyard. She gets out of the backyard so I'm worried since we have owls in the neighborhood. Not enough room in the house to keep her separated from other cats.

Kelly is a courtesy post. If you'd like to meet her, please contact Gretchen Rebold. 480-262-1671 or Gretchenrebold@yahoo.com

If you prefer, you may submit an online adoption application which will be forwarded to the guardian.

Decisions matching this animal with potential adopter(s) are solely the discretion of the guardian. ALF takes no responsibility for the suitability of the match. We are unable to accept this animal back if the adopter is unable to keep it. All agreements are between the adopter and the guardian. If the guardian will not accept a return, we will offer a subsequent courtesy post provided that diligent attempts were made to negotiate with the guardian for return of this animal, and that all courtesy post requirements are met on subsequent requests.

We typically adopt within the Phoenix metropolitan area. If you are out of the area, we recommend searching Petfinder for a pet waiting in a shelter near you, by clicking here.

All of our animals are homeless when they come to us. We don't know their history or pedigree. Breed and descriptions are our best guess, based on appearance and sometimes personality traits. We cannot guarantee their information.

If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider making a donation to help us continue to care for cats such as this one. We do not recover any costs associated with spaying and neutering, and often treating illness or injury, and the lifelong feeding of many other cats who are not as lucky as this one. Thank you for your interest in helping homeless animals.
