My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Percy is an adorable male Pekingese. The vet believes he's about 7-8 years old. He is already neutered, house trained and crate trained.

When he came to the foster home, he was heavily infested with fleas. Because of that, he was anemic. The anemia was thought to have affected his heart because he had a grade 3 heart murmur. The vet believes that once the anemia clears up, so will the heart.

He will be fully vetted before he's ready to go to his new home. His foster mom says he's very affectionate, super sweet and follows her all through the house. He weighs 11 lbs

Update 11/2/12: This little guy is so sweet!! I can't tell you how precious he is. He wants nothing more than to be with you. Loves to be held, loves any love and affection. He gives kisses. Just loves to be touched! He is very relaxed. He wanted to meet my dogs, but that was about it. He doesn't bother my cats at all. He uses the pee pads or will go outside. He will pretty much do anything or let you do anything to him. His other foster mom dressed him up in costumes and he was just fine with it. He is a love-bug!!!

UPDATE 11/10/12 I took Percy to the vet this week. He is no longer anemic. His heart is just fine, no damage. He does have a grade 1 murmur, to the left side of his heart only. The vet says it's probably been there for years, so glad to say that he will not need meds for this. He does have some bad teeth, so will need a dental. Hope to get this done soon. He weighs 11.3. You can still feel how bony he is, so we hope to get him to a better weight. He got good marks from the vet!!!

Wanted to mention too that he rarely uses a pee pad. He goes outside mainly to potty. When he first came to live with us, he wouldn't use them at all. Seems like my girls are teaching how things are done when I can't be found. Make sure you can devote time to taking him out for potty breaks.
