AFTER WE HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE WE WILL COMMUNICATE SPECIFICS ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR DOG. WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Meet Jessie, an older female rescued from the shelter after being "dumped" by her owners in a pet shop parking lot in the middle of summer. Jessie has had a pretty rough time of it over the last few months. Besides having to be treated for a shelter acquired respiratory infection, and a horrible skin infection, she was also heartworm positive. Her skin is all clear, she has been spayed, is UTD on shots and has been treated for heartworms.
We were guarded about whether she would ever be adoptable because she has been a little testy and intolerant but since leaving the vets office, she has been a pure joy. ...she was just scared. She has made friends with another dog and seems to enjoy being around children. Jessie has a cute little quirky habit; while riding in a car, she will growl at every stop sign or red light...this stops immediately after the car begins to roll again...voicing her displeasure at being delayed on the rode to being a Princess possibly?
