Original Bio 08/02/07: Hi there! It's me, Scruffy. I wanted to tell y'all that I have moved to Southern California! I'm here with a whole bunch of fosters. Foster mom says it's about time for me to quit bummin' around and find a place of my own. Let me tell you about my self. I am neutered, housebroken and love to lie on or next to my person. Foster mom says I'm not all yorkie, she says I look part yorkie and part poodle and that I am one of the new designer dogs...she calls me a 'porkie'. I think she's pulling one of my legs though; she smiles every time she says that. Some time ago I had a little accident with my right eye, so I need you to put drops in it a couple times a day other than that I am very healthy. There seems to be some question about my age, my first person says I'm 7, my Dr. says I'm closer to 10. I say well mannered people don't ask:). Speaking of well mannered, foster mom says I am well mannered. I am quiet and don't get into much. 07/01/07: Please Meet Scruffy. He is 10 years old, and approximately 11 lbs. He was surrendered to United Yorkie Rescue by his owner, along with his brother and sister. His owner was ill, and had to go to assisted living, where he was not able to bring his dogs. Scruffy is very sweet, timid, and quiet. Unfortunately he is not neutered at this time, but will be prior to adoption. Scruffy has sight only in one eye, due to a surgery he had to have on his right eye from a burr which went up his nostril and somehow affected his tear duct. But he gets around fine with sight in only one eye. Since I have only had him for a few days, and a vet has not seen him, my information is limited at this time. I will provide updates in the near future. Scruffy is in a summer cut.
