My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am just the cutest, sweetest guy you will ever meet. I am Augustine! They think I was born in 2009.... but I can't remember! I'm a Ticked HOUND mix. I have BIG black spots on my body, black around my eyes and black ears and more little black FRECKLES that just dance all around my white body! And... more freckles than Howdy Doody on my legs! I AM REALLY CUTE! You should see my beautiful eyes. Do you like brown eyes or blue eyes? I have one of each! They say I am a very handsome young man! Some nice people found me running on a highway. They think that whoever owned me, just 'dropped me off'. I didn't have my collar on - someone had removed it and they could see that, at one time, I did have a collar. It is so sad to be pushed out of a car on a busy highway.... where was I to go, who would take care of me, who would give me dinner, where would I sleep, how could I stay warm and dry, and who would love me???? I don't know why they didn't want me.... my new friends at the shelter say I am VERY SMART and VERY WELL MANNERED. They say I will be the perfect dog ....very friendly, loving and eager to please. I will be excited to learn anything you want me to learn! I have always been a GOOD BOY. I really am looking forward to having a family that will love and care for me forever... a family that will want me with them all of the time to love and play with. I already am well mannered and I just know that when you take me home, you will love EVERY LITTLE FRECKLE on me!!!
