My story

Hi, I am Lainey, that's my nickname for Elaine. Did you know that my name, Elaine, means 'SHINING LIGHT?' If you look at my face, you can see that I do have a 'shining light of love in my eyes.' I have the SOFTEST eyes and the GENTLEST face... they say I am such a pretty girl. I am a gorgeous SHEPHERD mix with a very unique beautiful carmel-colored, shiny coat with white markings on my chest. They say my coloring is very unusual.... I knew I was special! I would say that myself, but I am pretty shy. I am still young, born in 2009, and I live here at the shelter with my handsome brother, Elias. We LOVE each other alot and run and play together because we are still puppies at heart! Actually, I love all of the dogs here and even the cats! I especially like people...but, I admit that I can be shy at first... I so want to be outgoing like others here, but am just unsure about new people and need time to warm up to them. I really know how to walk nicely on a leash and I am willing to do just about anything you tell me to do. Actually, if you would just give me some attention and instructions.... I so want to please to people. I learn things really quickly and they say I am VERY SMART. My siblings and I were dumped as puppies and I have never had my own people to teach me all of the things I want to learn. I have a whole LIFETIME OF LOVE just waiting to share with you. I have heard about families and I dream of having my very own people family. Since I am still young myself, I would LOVE a family that I could love and grow up with. When you come to the shelter, look for me, Lainey, with the 'shining light' in my eyes and HEART for my new forever family. I am just waiting for you to find me.
