JEWEL's Story...
[ADOPTION PENDING. NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS.] Meet Jewel. At just one year of age she's still a puppy -- a HIGH-ENERGY puppy. She's a strong girl who has had limited training and she needs to learn that the HUMAN calls the shots, not she herself. We can understand; it appears that she has had to fend for herself much of the time. She deserves so much more than her previous experience has provided. Unfortunately she lived in a home where a young child took great pleasure in throwing rocks at her. Amazingly, she still is friendly toward youngsters but she's got a bit too much energy for kids under 12. She wants to plase, and is trying to learn good manners. She'll thrive in a situation as the family's only pet where the focus will be on helping her become he best dog she can be, in a home with no kids or kids in their mid- or late-teens. Jewel has two speeds, FAST and GET THE HECK OUT OF MY WAY . She will need a traditional fenced yard and a patient owner. Saint- or giant-breed-experience will be a big plus. Sheis spayed, vaccinted, microchipped, and is heartworm-negative. She's ready to meet prospective families so give a call. Jewel's a young girl with great potential in the right home. Might yours be that home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JEWEL, a Sudbury St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Sudbury, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Sudbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sudbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sudbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sudbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
