Woof, my name is Cookie! I am a 3 year old SUPER SUPER ADORABLE Spayed Female Reddish Brown Basset Hound and Dachshund mix. I weigh 29 pounds and I could not be cuter if I tried. My ears, my eyes, my temperament, they all just convey how much I want to love and be loved! I was rescued from the North Central LA City shelter where I was brought in by the next door neighbor to my home after she thought I had been hit by a car, she saw me limping. My owner then came to the shelter a few days later but said they did not have the money to take me to a vet. In the meantime, I happened to win over the hearts of every staff person in this shelter of 1,000 animals. So when my rescue (Labs and Friends.org) was in the shelter picking up some kitties, they were told they had to meet me, and I quickly found myself transported to the vet and then to this wonderful foster home in Pasadena. I had a slight pelvic fracture, but the vet recommended rest for a couple of weeks and I should be back to new. After just one day, I was already walking around like nothing happened. I live with 2 other dogs and 4 cats in my foster house. I walk great on a leash and I take treats gently from your hand. I am completely housetrained/potty trained. I have been sleeping in a crate at night and I enjoy sleeping there. I am also very happy on a dog bed beside your feet. I have a basset body with the gorgeous doxie coloring and an A+++ temperament! I am great with kids and all people! I am just an awesome dog and I would love to be in a great home. I am spayed, microchipped, vetted and up-to-date on all of my shots.
