My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT

Cooper is a neutered 5 year old Manchester Terrier who weighs a little under 25 pounds. This adorable guy sat at a shelter for many months while people overlooked him so Fuzzy Pawz Rescue placed him into their foster care program.

Cooper is an absolute lover boy! He loves nothing more than snuggling with you under the blankets and giving you kisses of adoration and thanks. This little boy is not a fan of the cold and will most certainly want to lie in bed with you under the covers. He also loves to stretch his legs outside and play fetch and is very good at bringing the ball right back to you and dropping it at your feet. He is a super fast little runner! He is housetrained and knows how to use the dog door. Cooper has an awesome vertical leap which he exhibits when it is time for food and we wonder if he has had any experiences with catching Frisbees in his past. He rides wonderfully in a car and will just want to lie somewhere near you safe and warm. He does pull on the leash a little when walking but will get better quickly with more walks in the future and he has great recall.

Cooper gets along well with other dogs and is good with cats that are not afraid of him. If they run he will chase, but if they stand their ground he just sniffs them and walks away he has even been caught cuddling with the kitten on the couch for warmth. Cooper does well with kids but we would recommend a home with older children (12 and up); he seems to get a bit irritated when small children are in his face constantly and trying to pick him up. He is a very sweet boy and extremely devoted to his person. He is very treat motivated and so would probably learn tricks quickly.

Cooper has some minor food allergies that Fuzzy Pawz has worked through; he had a pretty good rash and some hair loss when we took him in. We immediately placed him on a limited ingredient dog food and he is now slick, handsome, and healthy. He will need to remain on Nutro Natural Choice – Small Breed Grain Free Limited Ingredient – Fish & Potato Formula or something very, very similar for the rest of his life.

Cooper is a very very sweet boy and deserves a loving forever home that will appreciate all the love he has to give.

If you would like to meet Cooper please complete an adoption application with Fuzzy Pawz athttp://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.

There is a $40 adoption fee for Cooper
