My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dolly came to us from the overcrowded Los Banos shelter. From the angle of her shelter picture, we expected a tiny dog. Well, our Dolly is not tiny. She is a lovely standard girl.

Dolly arrived into a jam packed foster home full of dogs of all ages. Dolly was as cool as a cucumber. Although her foster mom was a stranger to her, Dolly let her do anything she wanted to her, including probing a painful, infected mammary gland. (This has been treated and resolved)

The day after her spay surgery and only days from her arrival, Dolly attended an adoption event. Again, Dolly, was calm, cool and collected. The event had hordes of people and new-to-her dogs crammed into an x-pen with her. None of it stressed Dolly.

Dolly is thrilled to be getting attention and loving from people. She appears to have never been in a house before rescue. She is doing well at learning the routine and she now plays with the other foster dogs. She loves playing race car and loudly wrestling with a puppy. She is also enjoying chewies and toys.

Dolly is so sweet that if she thinks she is in trouble, she runs into her crate and hides. (We discovered this one rainy morning when the dogs decided they didn’t want to go outside for morning potty break. They were sternly ordered out the door which scared poor Dolly)

We have had Dolly spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. Dolly is happy to be crated at night.
