My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Single Female Seeking Long-Term Relationship

My name is Quintessa, but you can call me Quin. I am an eight-year old mini schnauzer looking for her forever family. When my last relationship ended, I was left feeling scared and confused. It turns out I had only been wanted for my body, not my brains or my ability to love. Thankfully, I was found by a great rescue group who took me in and placed me in a wonderful home to learn how to be a dog. I’ll admit I was a little unsure of what I was supposed to do. I had spent most of my life in a wire crate. This new home was patient with me and there were other dogs to help me along. There's a puppy who has taught me how to play and now he lets me boss him around some. I learned from him and the other dogs that I had options. I could choose to be in my crate, wander around the house, lounge in a cozy bed, or even go outside. I like when my foster mom is on the couch reading—she’s at the perfect level for me to stand on my hind legs to get a head scratch and a back rub. And don’t tell anyone I told you this, but she’s even put me on the couch with her a time or two to get in some snuggle time. I really like that!

Last week I went to the doctor to have my teeth cleaned. I had to have quite a few of them pulled, but I tell you what—I feel so much better! I can still eat. My foster mom thinks I go a little crazy at meal time, so I make her proud by eating it all gone.

This new life suits me well, and now I’m ready to share it with you. Are you ready for the awesomeness that is Quintessa? If so, have your people call my people to work out the details (that’s one of the joys of having people, they do all the work while I am all cozy in my bed).

Quintessa was just transferred to us after she was dumped with four other minis in a shelter by the breeder. She is around 8 yrs old which means she was of no use to the breeder anymore. Quintessa is a sweet but reserved little mini. She is blue and a nice small girl. Her teeth are in HORRIBLE condition and will be cleaned. She has been spayed, brought current on shots and moved to a foster home for further assessment. As we get to know Quintessa better, we will update her profile.
