More Information:
Leroy is a charming boy that is house trained and crate trained. He is great with other dogs, he has not been around cats, he is also good with respectful children of all ages. Leroy is currently being fostered in Toronto with two other mid size dogs and two teenage boys (who absolutely adore him!!). Leroy knows some basic commands but is easily distracted so a brush up on general manners and commands at obedience lessons would be a great way for Leroy and his new family to get better acquainted.
UPDATE FROM LEROY’S FOSTER FAMILY: He's settled in nicely with the other dogs here and has made lots of friends at the dog park. We are working with him in his walking as he pulls, he's a strong dog. He is also coming along with fetching and returning, right now he 'sometimes' brings it back. He is a great dog and I have to keep telling my sons that they cannot keep him...I think it was love at first sight.
Leroy is super sweet and would be a great addition to an active family. He is not vocal indoors like some hounds can be, he is pretty quite reserving his excitement for playtime with other dogs outside. Leroy needs a house with a fenced yard, he is NOT suitable for apartment/condo living or for a house with no fenced yard.
