Here's what the humans have to say about me:
HiHiHi! My name is Bellini. I'm 3-years-old and weigh in at a whopping 8 pounds! They call me blue pied because my body is all white and my head is blue. I'm supposed to tell you how I got to Rescue but I think it's more important that you know I LOVE BULLY STICKS!! Oh! And squeaky toys! I LOVE SQUEAKY TOYS! So I was really sick but then I came to foster care and now I'm not sick and I Love bully sticks!!! And belly rubs!! And SQUEAKY TOYS!!
I like to play. A LOT! I like to play with toys and dogs and sometimes things that the humans say aren't toys but I disagree. (Personally, I think a napkin is a perfectly fine toy. They shred so nicely!) I like to go outside to watch my foster siblings but I only potty out there if forced. I get a treat when I come in, though, because I was scared to go out there at first. I like my potty pad better. I get a treat for that, too! (Pssst! I'll tell you a secret: Sometimes I go outside to get the treat and then potty on my pad to get ANOTHER treat! The humans haven't caught on so don't tell them! shhhhh!) OH!! Have you ever had a belly rub?! They're the BEST!! And bully sticks! And squeaky toys!!
OK, so they gave me a list of things you're supposed to know about me. (Maybe if I tell you they'll give me another treat!!) Here goes.. I'm a little wonky. My front legs didn't get long enough so I stand kinda funny. I'm a low-rider. I don't jump up, like onto the couch, but I can put my feet up to let you know I need help. I don't like to jump down off the couch either, but I will if the other dogs are after the UPS man and there is no human to let me down! Who would miss that excitement?! I get special magic juice that Mom buys at the healthy food store and it keeps my joints all iggly. The trade-off for the wonky is a little dog with exceptional dancing skills! I dance from one foot to the other to let you know I did something good or while I wait for my treat. I really am quite talented! They should put me on TV. I mean, why stand still when you can dance?! I lived in a little cage for a long time and there was no room to dance so I'm making up for it! I'll dance for just about any reason. Just talk to me in an excited voice and I will put on a show! I get a treat for that, right?
Oh, you also have to be really careful about watching my girlish figure. I know I look like I need a sammich but it's only because I'm low in the front. I get plenty to eat! If I gain too much weight it hurts me because the weight all sits in front and my joints can't take the pressure. Also, I'm a very good girl in my crate and I sleep there all night. Just toss the blanket on my head and I sort it out from there. If the humans leave, I stay in my crate like the other dogs and I like it just fine.
The last thing they're making me tell you is that I have no respect for personal space. *eyeroll* I go where I want and do what I want and if another sleeping dog happens to get in my way, they get a toy in the eye. Hey, I like to roll around with my toys and maybe if I bop 'em in the face enough times, they'll get up and play with me! It's worth a shot, right? I also like to roll around on my back and pretend I'm Flipper. On the couch. While the other dogs are sleeping. They say this is bad, but hey, you can't swim if you don't kick! Duh.
I know I'm a lot to handle but I'm totally worth it! The humans are pretty crazy about me and I like it here but it would be SO COOL if I could have my very own people and iggy brother! That way, someone could always have a lap for me and I could always be the dog for them! Doesn't that sound awesome?! Your own Personal Dog that fits perfectly in your lap! I would kiss you and cuddle you and you could give me belly rubs and bully sticks and we could be great friends!
