Introducing our new intake this girl is Sky another of our smiling happy purebred Weimaraners .Sky is a beautiful 5yr old silver grey Weimaraner, she is around 70lbs but not a tall Weim so she appears sightly overweight for her frame she is not fat by any means What can I tell you about Sky, Well she is a happy girl , she is lovely and calm around the house not really a high maintenance Weimaraner, as all Weims she just loves to be around people, She has a very sweet temperament and she is at her happiest cuddling up with you on the sofa. Sky loves attention and cuddles, Sounds the perfect Weim well here is her story. Sky has had a stable upbringing until her mom & dad went through a separation period. Daddy moved out of the home and living apart he got another dog to keep him company, The family after a period of time got back together and all was well. Then the other dog a GSP female started to resent Sky and started attacking her. Sky`s mom tried to work through the situation but it became worse finally after seeing her baby hurt on more than one occasion she made the heartbreaking decision to seek help for Sky and so Sky arrived at Lifeline. The attacks on Sky have not come without a price Sky is very wary of other dogs especially if they make a quick move towards her. She has been interacting really well with my own male Weim but he is an older calm boy. Therefore we feel that the best home for Sky should not have another female dog or a boisterous male, she would be the utmost loyal friend to a family she would do so well being an only dog. she is so sweet and loving she is a total love bug, She loves children there were 3 in her previous home and also a cat that she got along with without any issues. Sky has no known health problems the wounds from her attack have healed nicely however we are waiting for her fur around the wound to return to its normal status. Sky was well cared for after being attacked her Mom is a vet tech. Sky is a typical Weimaraner she has all the wonderful weimy traits, She justs loves to follow you around and be part of a family like all Weims she craves attention and is playful. she just loves to run, she loves to play ball, fetch stick and she is always happy around humans. She absolutely adores car rides it is her favorite thing she is very good girl in the car she will sit up looking out of the window, and if you open the window she will hang her head out like all Weims. She loves to go for walks and she walks well on a leash she will pull slightly when she gets out of the door but calms down on the walk. She knows commands sit, stay, and will also give you her paw like a pro, Sky is not crate trained she does not need a crate She is just a sweetheart. Sky is spayed and current on all vaccinations she is micro.chipped. She is house trained. We are looking to find Sky a wonderful forever home where she can gain back her stability we are looking for a forever home that can cherish her and give her deep love and attention so she feels safe. A family that will include her in their daily life. A home with a fenced in yard or acreage where she can run and play would be ideal but not essential. She would do so well being an only dog. The rewards you would get from this girl if you could open up your heart and home to her. Could you be that person to make Sky`s life complete again.
