Hi my name is Talon...I’m a super happy lil fella who's about 6 months old and I’m looking for a furever family to spend my life with who will be good to me and give me the attention and training I will need to grow up into a well behaved dog. I will also need a new family who understands my limitations (almost none, but there may be some!), as I'm about to embark upon a new chapter in life: tripod living. On March 29th 2013 I’m going into have surgery to have my front left leg amputated because of a past trauma injury to my elbow and leg. My foster family got lots of opinions from official folks, and the verdict was that my old injury would cause more problems than not having a 4th leg would. So here we go!
I adore people (especially my foster family) and fellow dogs and would love to find a home with a best buddy to spend all my time with-human or dog or both! I live with 3 cats who rule the roost--and I know how to respect them, so if you have a cat, no problem. My favorite past times include watching the big screen TV all tucked up on the couch with my foster mom or pop, and spending quality time with my chewy toys and treats! I am fast learning the ropes from my three foster home's dogs (all much bigger than me!)--I love to tag along with them on adventures in the house and yard. I am just a pup, so I have lots of good energy and lots of willingness to learn new things--so if you are looking to share the world and your life with someone, please consider me!
I come with veterinary care which includes age appropriate shots, deworming, flea treatment, heartworm prevention/testing, and neuter. I will also have an amputated front leg--which, depending on when you meet me, may need some follow up care. I'll have to take it slow until I heal up and get the hang of using my 3 good legs. Knowing my foster mom, I may also come with some of my own toys ;) She spoils me lots! Hope to hear from you soon! Talon, the (newly) tripod puppy with a happy attitude.
