My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chewbaca is a 2 y r old Great Pyrenees /Anatolian shepherd mix. His "family" turned him into a county shelter last week saying he is OLD and BLIND and they didn't want him anymore. When the shelter volunteer said...you realize that as an owner surrender, he can be put down immediately, they replied , "Whatever . " They didn't even tell the shelter his name !

That was when we were called. So we picked up Chewy, he is NOT old , only about 2 yrs old and he does have vision problems. We took him to an eye specialist and we were told he is newly blind and there is evidence of toxins...so, the "family" knew he is only 2 and they probably knew he was poisoned. WE got him neutered and of course he is HW + so we will begin treatment as son as he gains a little more weight.

I can tell you this boy is so sweet and gentle and only wants to curl up in your lap ! He is calm and afraid and shows signs of abuse. Even after all that , he just wants to be loved ! We have started clicker training and he is doing REALLY well. Chewy is great with kids and can't see cats ....
