ROSIE is a young puppy that is looking for her forever home! She was born on Dec 13/12 as part of a litter of 11 puppies. Both her mom and dad, along with several other dogs were removed from a property where 150+ dogs were discovered in less than ideal conditions. Her mother was VERY pregnant at the time of her rescue, so the entire litter was born in the safety of a foster home. She was socialized from an early age to people of all ages, kids, other dogs, cats, cars, loud noises, etc. All they need now is somewhere to hang their leash and call home.
ROSIE actually had the biggest birth weight of the litter, but at 2 days of age wouldnt nurse from mom. She was bottle fed for the first week of life, and after a couple days of bottle feeding was back to a happy puppy. She is a dainty girl - very leggy and streamlined compared to her littermates who are all built stocky. While we are guessing her littermates will be in the 60-70lbs range, we expect she will stay smaller than this - likely in the 40-50lbs range. She is not a big fan of the outdoors, so wouldnt be a match for people looking for a hiking/camping buddy. She is good with other dogs, but would be ok being an only dog as well. She loves attention, and has no idea she is going to be too big to be a lap dog when full grown.
