Shortstop is a wonderful companion and all around great dog. He’s smart and knows how to sit, lie down and shake hands! He’s such a friendly guy. He’s wonderful meeting people. He’s easy to walk outside and has great manners inside. True to his name, Shortstop loves to play ball …and Frisbee. This 60-pound guy is so talented that he can catch a ball in the air. “Way to go” Shortstop! He’s also a fun-loving pooch that would really enjoy joining you in the pool! You can see this 5-year-old male lab/shepherd mix playing in a kiddy pool in the link below!
If you’d enjoy having a dog that needs no training, Shortstop’s your guy! Shortstop knows how to use the dog door and is house-trained. He also is easy to walk on a leash. He takes treats gently. Shortstop would love to find a home with someone to walk him, play with him and give him some hugs and belly rubs. He’ll be happy being with you wherever you are. Laying on the floor next to the computer, watching TV with you or lounging by the pool. And our sweet guy doesn’t beg for attention. He’s so good!
Shortstop sleeps next to my bed and sleeps through the night without a peep. If he does need to go outside, he’ll shake. If that doesn’t work, he’ll bump into the bed to let you know! I can’t say enough what a wonderful companion and playmate Shortstop is. He’s well-behaved and can be loose in the house. He’s also crate trained. He would be best in a home with children older than 13 or no children. Shortstop gets along with female dogs who will let him be the boss. He played great with my other 2 foster female dogs (one was a 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, the other a 3-month-old German Shepherd puppy) and was the perfect playmate and gentleman. No cats, please. Shortstop is neutered and current on his vaccinations.
