My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hunni bunni is an adorable bundle of fuzz. She was thrown out of a moving car but, luckily, she was seen by some nearby motorists who saved her. Hunni Bunni is a darling baby who needs a lot of love. Her life has been very uncertain at this point and she will need to have love reinforced to help her understand she will never be dumped again.
Huni is a shy girl and will need a home with lots of love and patience while she becomes secure with her new family.

We are an all-volunteer rescue group dedicated to the health and well being of all animals.. Our mission and main objective is to vet and responsibly re-home unwanted animals with a thorough pre-screening adoption program that includes checking vet and personal references as well as a home visit. Secondary objectives include pet education and decreasing the number of unwanted animals being born with our policy of all dogs are spayed/neutered before adoption and educating our adopters and the community on the importance of spay/neuter. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every animal has the chance to live the life they deserve. We mainly rescue dogs, but will do our best to assist you with other species of animals plus any purebred dogs and cats from animal control and owner surrenders when space is available. At this time we do have a small rescue facility so many of our animals are in foster care. All adoption fees and donated money is applied towards the costs of vetting, caring for and maintaining the animals and our rescue efforts. There is no salary to pay, as we are all volunteers. We test all our animals for heartworm. We immunize (Rabies, Bordatella, DA2LPPC) and sterilize all the animals. We stress keeping dogs INDOORS. We have made it mandatory to spay/neuter ALL animals prior to adoption. Our animals are on FRONTLINE flea control to make certain as possible they go to their new home flea free. They are also given monthly heartworm preventive. All animals are dewormed. We try to help those who will be euthanized first because it is not their fault they end up on death row. We accept animals no matter the age as long as we have space. All animals deserve a loving home. However, we do not accept human aggressive dogs. We will transport animals as far as we possibly can to assist in saving them and adopting them. If you find a friend you think you would like to adopt, please go to our web site at www.reach-out-animal-rescue.org and fill out the adoption application. Adoption fees range from $75 - $150, the fee helps cover the cost of shots, spay/neutering and any health care they have received while in foster care.
