My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Damon is a Pitbull x Cane Corso that was saved from a local shelter. He was a stray, and although friendly, he was unaltered and found himself on the euthanasia list. Damon is a sweet boy with lots of energy. He is now neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested negative and on heartworm prevention pills, micro-chipped, and is ready for his own furever home. All of our shelter rescues stay in quarantine for 2 weeks after we get them. During those 2 weeks, we assess the dogs temperaments, personalities, and training levels. Damon is a 70lb sweetheart with a lot of energy. He is learning "sit", "stay", "wait", "come", etc. He also walks much better on a leash now. Damon loves children, but might unintentially knock down little ones. His personality would lead me to believe that after settling in with a new family, and maybe a year of maturing, he would be fine with the little ones too. He loves to go for walks and hiking. He has a strong prey drive, and loves to try to chase rabbits. He is a natural on the lure course. On a leash he exhibits good manners with horses and chickens. He is doggy door trained, house trained, and kennel trained. He has lots of love to give, he is eager to please, and loves to learn new things.
