Ashton is a delightful, quiet, sweet and loving two-year-old Miniature Pinscher (we believe him to be pure-bred) who was rescued from the Devore Animal Shelter. He had some hair missing on the front neck area, probably from someone putting his collar back on when he was wet, but this is healing nicely and his hair is growing back. There are two words to describe Ashton – TOTAL SWEETHEART. He weighs about 9 lbs. and has a nice balance of occasionally playing with the other dogs, to lying on a pet bed near you while you work on the computer, to cuddling in your lap. He rides well in the car and even cuddles with you in bed. One of his favorite pastimes is sunning himself. He is potty-trained (though potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment), crate-trained, and knows how to go in and out of the doggie door. He is fine in the crate when it is time to be crated and also sleeps quietly in his small wire-crate throughout the night, enjoying a raw-hide chip as a bedtime snack. Ashton is an adorable little love bug/cuddle dog who enjoys toys and gets along with all other dogs, big and small, male or female. It is cute to watch him wag his little stub of a tail. He has two slits in one of his ears, (most likely born that way or from a pre-existing injury) and this was already healed when we pulled him from the shelter. We hope that people will not hold this minor outward flaw against him. Ashton is a warm, friendly dog who will make the perfect little sidekick companion, or friend for your already existing dog.
