My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we first saw those big beautiful brown eyes, they were staring at us through the passenger side window of a car. She was sitting on the lap of a transporter who looked very worried. We inquired about this gorgeous 10 month old black lab and here's what we were told. When the transporter was pulling away from the shelter in Georgia earlier that day, a volunteer came running out with Charlotte and begged her take Charlotte up north to New York in the hopes that a rescuer would make room for this sweet girl who didn't stand a chance of surviving if she stayed. She had only an hour before being gassed for lack of space and they thought it was worth a try. Unfortunately everyone was full and SFTH was the last stop. We looked at her fae so full of hope. No was not an option! We asked the scared pup if she was hungry and her tail started wagging excitedly. We offered her some water first. She drank like there was no tomorrow. After a second bowl, we fed her. She was starving. We walked her to the park. She was fine on the leash. We brought her inside where she happily greeted the other dogs. She did all her business in the backyard and after second helpings of food, she fell into a deep much needed sleep. The following morning, we took Charlotte to Central Park. Labrador Retrievers are known fro their friendliness and Charlotte is no exception both with dogs and people. The sight of a small child makes her tail wag with such delight, we are sure she must have lived with children before being abandoned. She is 100% housebroken and if left with plenty of toys and bones, she is great when left alone for a few hours. Charlotte is a wonderful girl who is full of life and love. When fully grown she is expected to reach almost 60 lbs. She is spayed, healthy and up to date on her shots. If you would like to adopt Charlotte, please call Beth at 347 242 0459 or 347 242 0459.
