Catfish's Story...
I'm not sure how it happened, but I found myself living on the streets. It was real scary out there but then a nice lady found me and took me to her vet. I thought my troubles were over as I have a micro chip but my owner didn't register me. Fortunately ADOPT had registered me when I was adopted from them as a kitten. Though they were unable to locate my owner, they felt sorry for me and took me in. I was a little nervous around so many new cats but I'm getting use to them now. I'm a quiet little lady who loves to sit with you for attention. I'm a two paw de-claw and very well mannered. Do you have a nice warm lap that I can sit in?

Catfish came to ADOPT in May of 2013. She was born around May of 2002.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Catfish, a Naperville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
