Information:

November 6, 2013: I think I am finally housebroken!! Took a while, but of course, I do have the diabetes insipidus issue. My foster mommy will tell you I am a smart puppy. I learn rather quickly and I love to learn, especially when there are treats involved! I am a happy go lucky pup, I can go up and down stairs on my own and I learned the word "off". I sleep in bed at night and in the morning I know I need to go outside to potty and then directly to my crate to get my breakfast. Because of my disabilities, keeping me on a routine is quite helpful because I know what is expected of me. I'm still looking for that furever home, and would do well as either an only dog or maybe team me up with a sibling. I will be getting spayed the middle of November.

Are you looking for that smart, lovable, cuddly pup????? I might be her!!! Please talk to your vet regarding my diabetes insipidus and if you're ready for me, please put in the application and ask for me. I will need an adjustment period like any new dog coming into a new home, but it sure will be well worth the effort on both our parts. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!!!

September 15, 2013: "Although I am a smart puppy in learning my commands and how to be a good girl rather quickly, I have been giving my foster mommy a hard time with housebreaking. As she says "Luna, you have to potty way too much!" So I had to go to my primary vet and then went to see a specialist and I was diagnosed with Central Partial Diabetes Insipidus (DI). It's something I was born with. I'm told this isn't the blood sugar type of diabetes, this just means I drink and pee a little more than the average dog, but there is a pill I can take that will help that a lot! So, although I am still not completely housebroken, I am much, much better now. I have been keeping my crate dry and I don't urinate every 5-8 minutes anymore. I am now acting like a normal puppy when it comes to learning appropriate pottying.

If you wish to adopt me, maybe you could talk to your vet about DI, and find out how easy it will be to care for me! Diabetes Insipidus is not curable, but it is treatable, and I'll live a normal life. Then, if you are willing to open your home and your heart to me, and you're willing to be sure I get my medication every day, please submit your application and ask for me."

September 5, 2013: I have been very busy learning my commands. I can now "sit", "down", and "paw". Impressive, I think!! I also know the words "no", "go potties", and maybe "inside". I am still working on housebreaking and leash walking. I am a little scared when leash walking and you sometimes have to cheer me on. But I do practice. I love to cuddle and sit with you. My favorite cuddling is when you hold me like a baby and let me rest my chin on your shoulder. I love that! If you "bait" me with treats, I will go up the stairs, but I am better coming down. I really prefer not to do steps, but I have to practice because if my furever home has steps, I will need to know how to go up and down. I am very food motivated and I love to train. That's good for you!
I'm real good in the car now, but I still have to be in a crate. I am crate trained. I am approximately 16 pounds now but I'm still growing. That being said, I don't know how I'm going to cuddle in your arms when I am full grown. I might grow to be about 40-50 pounds, but the jury is still out on that one.

I am very head strong and sometimes I try to be dominant when I have puppy play. So please consider that when pairing me up with a brother or sister. But I am good with dogs and cats. I don't live with children, but I have been introduced to children, and so far I am fine with them. I go to a lot of dog events with the Rescue and I have met a lot of people and other dogs. I love being touched.

I don't mind having pedicures and getting bathe. I do love to run in the yard, whether by myself or with another puppy.
