Jacob is a very handsome, 2-year old, male Akita that was saved from a local shelter after he was abandoned by his owner. He can be very warm and friendly with people he knows. Jacob loves to go on walks and does well on lead. He does need to continue working on his doggie manners as he gets very excited when going out on walks and tends to bounce around like Tigger when he sees other dogs!

Jacob is a maturing teenager with a very strong personality, so it would be best that he go to an Akita-experienced, new home that does not already have a dominant male or female dog or any kitties. He may get along with and be able to share a home with another female as he does play well with and takes his walks with a younger, female Akita foster-sister.
