My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ROSA -is approx. 6yrs old and a Chow/Jindo mix girl . She is one very nice and quiet star. She is a highly intelligent, and devoted to “her” human dog. She was abandoned at a shelter gate in CA and was brought to WA by AnimalDefense Rescue.

Rosa’s first desire is to be with his owner that means wherever you go she wants to be at your side, or lying next to your feet. At the beginning of your Dog-Human relationship with you she might get very nervous when you leave the home. It truly would help if you are all the time at home or at least someone in your household OR if you can take at least one week off so that she gets used to you. Her anxiety WILL go away but at the beginning she needs you around. I will not adopt Rosa to someone who does not understand this process because that would stress her out unnecessarily. She loves car rides as she relates it to you and she has no problem to be in a car for up to 3 hours. Having her locked up in a crate for many hours would not work for her either (besides it would not be fair) and Jindos are independent and freedom loving dogs, She loves her owner and can be protective of their loved ones and territory. Like most independent breeds, ROSA needs (and thrives under) firm but loving handling and consistency. The new owner will need to set the rules and stick with them. An owner who has earned the respect of ROSA will be rewarded with unsurpassed loyalty and obedience. The typical Jindo is very affectionate with its loved ones and reserved with strangers. A typical Jindo will not show affection toward people it has just met. At its most expressive, it is friendly in a gentle way. Rosa does not like dogs that do not respect a certain circle of distance when meeting her for the first time and will establish dominance and put the dog respectfully in his place.

If you want to meet this wonderful girl, send a mail to animaldefense@hotmail.com and we will send you an application so that you can then meet this very rare dog.
