My story

Meet Calvin!  He is an adorable Aussie/Pittie Mix.   Calvin is always on the go and would do wonderfully with a family who likes to walk or jog.  He knows several basic commands such as sit and lay.  Calvin would prefer to be an only dog as he just feels he needs all of the love and attention on him.  If you are interested in adopting Calvin, please contact Stray Acres at  512-525-4710.

More about this rescue

Stray Acres Sanctuary and Animal Rescue was established as a non-profit corporation in Bertram, TX. officially in December of 2012, but the idea has been a lifelong goal. Our mission is to provide safe haven for stray animals, animals in high kill shelters and animals on death row, regardless of breed, sex, or species. We also promote the spay or neutering of companion animals, to help prevent overpopulation. We also believe in the practice of Trap, Neuter, Release, (TRN) of feral cats. We strive to educate the public on the benefits of these practices. We educate the public against Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) to promote equality for all breeds, and to help fight the prejudice toward "aggressive" breeds. We are located in the Hill Country of Central Texas, west of Austin and have set about completing our life's goal by providing a permanent home for animals either through sanctuary here or through rehoming by adoption. AS ALWAYS OUR MOTTO IS SHARE 'EM AND SAVE 'EM
