My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piper came to us from Northern BC, and like so many females in underserved areas she became a mother well before her first birthday. All her puppies have been adopted to wonderful homes, now Piper wants a home for herself.

Piper is very playful and needs a kind, active person. In the house, she’s a lover who just wants to be with you and loves a good cuddle. She likes toys and playing tug but will settle down if you ignore her. It's not always easy to ignore her as she has an endearing way of quietly placing a stuffy or toy near you then walking away to wait for you to notice it, of course once you see it she rushes over with a look of “oh, you want to play with me?” She hasn’t shown any interest on getting on the furniture but lays at your feet for gentle pets.

She’s friendly with dogs though fearful at the beginning. She will have a bark/growly session with some dogs prior to playing with them. I think she’s just talking to them as they don’t seem afraid or run away. She can be fearful with new people and will bark at them and try to act brave which she is not. She comes around quickly and is becoming more comfortable with lots of opportunities to meet people.

Note: We adopt to residents living within a two hour driving distance of the Lower Mainland and Southern Vancouver Island. We cannot accept applications from outside of Canada
