Toby is a sweet and loving boy. His coat is soft, and he has an incredibly beautiful tail. Because he was neglected in the past, Toby has difficulty trusting humans. He has made many improvements since coming to his foster home, but he has a lot more to learn. Toby needs a family that will be patient while he adjusts to his new environment. He would be best in a home with little commotion, and he should probably go to a home without children or with older, dog-savvy children.
Toby absolutely loves his three Springer brothers. His Forever Home needs to include a canine companion for him. No cats for Toby, as he will chase them. He is happiest outside, and he loves his to roam around the fenced yard of his foster home. Toby can be fearful of confinement, so his foster family does not put him in a crate or close him behind doors. He is always around his people, and he has his safe zones, including a place under the table or behind a chair, where he observes what is happening in the house.
Toby enjoys sleeping all night on dog beds in the bedroom. He is completely housetrained and does not get up on furniture. His foster parents trust him and allow Toby free rein of the house while they are at work.
