My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Dixie is a smart senior Aussie/Shep mix and just so sweet- and with such a sad back story. She was adopted from the dog pound 3 years ago, only to be returned to the pound because her owner is dying of cancer now and can no longer take care of her...such a tragedy, but yet Dixie is such a gift to any family who can open their home to this wonderful dog. She is very well-behaved, housetrained, quiet, and adjusts well to her surroundings. She gets along very well with other dogs (not sure about cats yet) and is gentle, with a laidback personality...in other words, a "couch potato". She rides very well in the car, too. If this is the kind of dog you're looking for, then Sweet Dixie could be the one for you. If interested, please fill out an application at our site: www.PeisandStrays.com. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and housetrained.
