We are pleased to introduce Sparta! Sparta is a cattle dog mix, about 41 pounds, 2 years old, female. Sparta came to The Way Home Rescue Alliance through a high intake/high kill shelter in Eastern rural KY where she was slated for euthanasia. One of the last dogs without rescue or adoption, we opted to pull Sparta to save her life.

Sparta is an amazing girl! She was quite timid when she first came out of the shelter, but since then she has blossomed tremendously. Sparta is now a happy go lucky girl with a medium energy level. She very much loves playing with other dogs; chase, fetch, and running are just some of her very favorite things to do! Devoted and kind, Sparta adores ‘her human’ and is happy to snuggle and give doggy kisses! You will get twice the amount of love and affection from Sparta that you give to her. This girl doesn’t know a stranger and enjoys making new friends too! She has the goofiest grin and the ability to make anyone smile – you can’t have a bad day with this precious girl in your company!

Sparta is housebroken and crate trained. She has been fully vaccinated, defleaed, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. Sparta is current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
