Apollo's long ears make him the "movie star" of his foster household. At a recent Yappy Hour meet-and-greet event, he had people swooning over his good looks. This handsome boy is a wonderful middle-of-the-road Springer. He's moderately active, but he can be a couch potato at the end of the day. His foster mom describes him as a snuggle bug who will cuddle up to her when invited. He even sleeps with her at night.

Apollo is crate trained and is good in a crate while his foster family is at work during the day. He has been somewhat reserved since arriving at his foster home, but he is slowly showing his true colors and is starting to play with his canine foster siblings. Like a good dog, he ignores the resident cats!

Apollo is sensitive to light and reflections, and he tries to play with them. He is much better at catching a ball and bringing it back--he will even put it in your hand! He is nervous on car rides and at the vet, but he practices the patience it takes to make it through both. At the Yappy Hour, Apollo did well meeting people in public. However, he is nervous and uncomfortable around small children, so his adoptive home should include only family members over the age of thirteen.

If you would like to meet this stunning boy, please contact his case managers as soon as possible. We're sure to have many inquiries about this ESRA star!

Please note that an approved adoption application is the first step in a more thorough interview process that is designed to match each dog to exactly the right family, and that the final decision rests with the dog's case manager.
Please read the Adoption FAQ and get an Adoption Application approved before inquiring about Apollo.
