EMAIL SAVEASHEPHERD@GMAIL.COM WITH ANY ADOPTION INQUIRIES. Meet Canelo! Canelo is an 8 year old Shepherd/Chow mix. He is right on the border of being medium-large. He weighs 45 lbs, but looks bigger due to all the fluff! He is such a great guy! He is extremely laid back, and loves to just hang out! He enjoys going for walks outside, and he is very well-behaved on the leash. He is pretty mellow, and loves to just have someone around. He is so sweet. He will come up and nuzzle his head into you for some attention. Canelo LOVES to go for car rides! He hops right in the car, and sits looking straight out the window during the drive. He does fine with cats, and would do okay with a confident older female dog. He doesn't like to share, and he is dominant/aggressive towards more submissive dogs. We are also looking for a female-only home for this guy. He is fine around men in public (he just ignores them), but doesn't seem to like sharing his home with men (UPDATE: After a month or two, Canelo started really bonding with his foster dad! yay!). This guy is perfect for someone looking for an older dog, that doesn't need to be too active. He is happy with a walk or two a day. He would also be the perfect companion for someone a little older. Canelo is neutered and UTD on his vetting/vaccinations. He is currently being fostered in Waltham, MA.
