My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oz, a magical place, a magical dog. Just like Dorothy, Oz was lost and couldn't find his way home. Luckily, he too found friends to take him to a safe place. And like Dorothy, he faced many challenges along the way. Once at the shelter, he showed his gratitude daily, unfortunately his happy wagging tail needed to be docked, but still wags! He is a sweet, affectionate dog! Tail wagging and greeting with kisses when his family arrive home. Oz loves the company of his foster family and his foster dog sister. She doesn't mind that he likes to be the in-charge big brother. They do everything together--play outside,explore the great outdoors and sleep near one another.

From his foster mom: "Oz is very affectionate, likes to lay his head in my lap or curl up next to me. He wags his tail when given any attention - very friendly and sweet. Loves to be petted. He is very playful, likes to bring toys and sticks to play tug-of-war or throw for him. He loves to swim after sticks thrown in the water and is learning "drop it" so I can throw it again for him. He knows the commands for "sit," "give paw," and "come." He's good with children and adults."

For a 3 year old lab mix he has the energy to keep up with his active family, but not the overly energetic puppy style. He enjoys swimming, running, his daily walks and does quite well on his leash; Relaxing in the shade is where you will find Oz dreaming of the rainbow that will lead him to his forever home.
