Ricky is one handsome guy, and he's hoping he can steal your heart and win himself his perfect new forever home! Ricky is a young, male pit bull type dog - lab mix who is currently waiting for his forever family at the shelter.
Ricky has been patiently waiting at the shelter since March of 2013 for that special someone to come along, and there's no reason he should still be at the shelter because Ricky is a great catch! Ricky was found as a stray with Lucy (also still waiting for her home) and shelter volunteers suspect the two may be siblings, but if not they are great friends! Ricky loves to play with dogs, especially Lucy, and loves playing with his people as well. Ricky is an active dog and needs someone who can give him the exercise he needs to keep expend all of that energy, especially all the energy he's built up from living at the shelter since March! He could use a little training as well, but with some delicious treats and lots of praise, Ricky should pick it up in no time! This special boy is not only handsome, but he's smart, loving and so much fun as well. Ricky is waiting for you to come save his life and give him his happy, loving forever home!
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). We have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t come outside and play. Please consider making a difference in a dog’s life and adopt from our shelter!
We are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
