My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthdate: 9/1/13
Gender: Female

These little pups have luck on their side. Not only was their mom rescued from the streets while she was pregnant, but she made it here to New Lease on Life AND into foster care before she gave birth, which means the pups have had the lives of kings and queens, pampered and loved by their foster mom from the moment they were born.

And it's a good thing she has plenty of love to go around because Vivian certainly didn't skimp in the puppy department. We thought she might have five.... maybe six pups. But when she went into labor, they kept coming.... and coming.... and coming..... until she had 10 little furry bundles lined up.

She has been an amazing mommy. Even though she had her work cut out for her, Vivian has carefully nursed and cared for each of her pups, and it shows because they have absolutely thrived.

And thanks to their foster mom, they've been very well socialized pups who love to run and play with her three other dogs (2 other pit mixes and 1 small dog) as well as several cats and her son. They love everyone, and they can't wait to make even more friends.

We believe the pups are Pit/Lab mixes. We're expecting them to be around 50 to 60 pounds as adults, so adopters should plan on a medium-sized dog when they're all grown up.

The pups have not yet been housebroken since they're just itty bitties right now, but they're very smart, so they'll pick it up without a problem. We recommend crate training as the easiest way to housebreak a pup, and we'll be happy to give you some pointers.

The pups are still in foster care, so you must call 330-397-8270 to schedule an appt to meet them. We will be holding a MEET-N-GREET very soon when you can meet the whole group, and mom, and reserve your favorite. A 50% deposit ($100) and an approved application are required in order to reserve a pup. They will then go home with you the day after their spay/neuter, which will be in about a week.
