My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*ADOPTION PENDING !! *

♫♪ Oh, but love grows where my Rosemary goes And nobody knows like me ♪♫

Little Rosemary came into our rescue from the Lewisburg TN animal shelter, where her euthanasia date was fast approaching. We just could not turn away from this little one. She was taken to the local vet clinic for her spay and to everyone's surprise, Rosemary - who is little more than a puppy herself at only a year old - was pregnant with two extremely large puppies. Had she tried to deliver them she would not have survived. Every effort was made to save the puppies but sadly, they could not be saved, but Rosemary can! In her very short little life, this precious girl has been neglected and unwanted...until now. No more puppies for this angel, she will be someone's baby now.

Rosemary is clearly a Beagle mix, and we believe from her features the mix is likely Dachshund. Beagles make notoriously good family pets. She is so kind and gentle and just loves people and gets along great with other dogs. She's a little shy at first, but she warms up immediately to kind word. Rosemary weighs 25 lbs and isn't likely to get any better, or at least not significantly.
Rosemary is fully vetted, spayed, rabies, and on Heartworm prevention. Her adoption packet includes one month flea/tick prevention and a day's supply of food and treats, collar, and toy.
Rosemary will be allowed time to heal from her spay, put on a little weight and get a final vet check. She will be available for adoption just in time to make a responsible boy or girl a FOREVER pet for the holidays. PLEASE do not give animals as gifts to children who are too young to understand this is a lifetime commitment!
