This sweetheart is very deserving of her meaningful name. Dayanira is greek for "she stirs up great emotion" and our little "Daya" certainly does. Left abandoned and tied to our shelter fence on a cold afternoon, Dayanira is among many other animals that have met this same fate.To make matters worse, refuge was available for her on the day she was left. Our shelter may have been closed but the parking lot was full of vehicles and the building bustling with staff to take her in. The smile on this sweet girls face masks the neglect she has endured and the pain she was left in. She suffers from an unknown allergy that has riddled her body leaving her extremely uncomfortable. She is currently undergoing treatment to help comfort her and determine the cause of her condition. Take a moment to get to know this girl, it is guaranteed to be time well spent.
